Laura likes it hot, which helps explain why she ended up Arizona after living in such diverse places as Japan, New Orleans, Maine, and Florida. She once enjoyed hobbies such as gardening and travel. Now the characters in her head compel her to tell their stories to her readers, so she writes.
She shares her home with her husband and youngest son, a dog and a cat. Laura writes under the names L.E. Harner for her MMF ménage and MM erotica. She writes under the name Laura E. Harner for everything else. Her books can be found at All Romance eBooks, Barnes and Noble, Amazon, and other online retailers.
Thanks for hosting this fantastic giveaway, Sid—I’m truly honored to be here, especially with such a stellar line up of authors. As my contribution to the giveaway, I’m bringing my whole backlist for readers to choose any single title from OR…both books from my Pulp Friction series, Triple Threat OR…the entire Willow Springs Ranch Series.
Pulp Friction
Late last year, I was chatting with my friends and fellow authors, Havan Fellows, Tom Webb, and Lee Brazil, when we got to talking about hard-boiled detectives and the rich history of serials and pulp fiction.
With dirty minds and good intentions, the idea of creating a little PULP FRICTION for our readers was born.
Why Pulp Friction? We wanted to pay homage to the golden days of story telling, when talk was cheap and so were the women…. Okay, not exactly, but close. We all loved the idea of telling a great story for a fair price. We also know that readers love a well-developed character, and when that character steps out of his own book and into another—double bonus.
Our Pulp Friction Books (PFB) group has three lines we publish:
Sweet Exchange – short, sweet romances;
Heated Exchange – hot, naughty, with a promise of leaving you satisfied for now;
Pulp Friction– Four discrete mystery/suspense series—one from each author—all set in Atlanta. Each one of the series can stand alone, but the stories weave back and forth, brushing against each other, adding depth to already intriguing tales.
You never know when Wick might show up in the Chances Are to meet with Chance, Marcus, or Zack…characters from all four series. The crossovers are numerous and fun, and show a long history of friendship between the core characters.
We publish two books a month, on the 1st and the 15th, in a round robin format, taking turns with our releases. The latest release by T.A. Webb, Knightmare, completes the second round of each of the four series.
My latest release in the Pulp Friction Line is
Retribution: Triple Threat No. 2. (April 1, 2013)
When Dom Zachary walks out the door with Master Archer, leaving his inexperienced sub to wait for his attention, he never imagines the boy would call an abusive slave trainer with a grudge instead. Now they must find the missing Jeremiah and make the bastard who took him pay. Their salvage business has never been so personal.

You need to answer one question in order to be entered into this contest, so let’s make this easy…the Pulp Friction Books are mysteries, but my fellow PFB authors and I write a variety of genres (Mystery/Thriller, Fantasy, Romance, Paranormal, etc.).
What is your favorite genre to read and why?

I love all books, but paranormal erotica is my all time favorite.
Oh, yes, that’s a favorite of mine, too. Thanks for entering!
My favorite genre is mystery with romance. I love the two blended together especially if the two who are involved are in law enformcement together. There is just something about two strong men in love but who can kick your ass!

Men in uniform or plain colthes-gets me every time!

I love m/m, because the male characters are more varied and appealing than in het romance, and their interactions are less predictable!
I agree, the responses in the storyline feel more varied. I wonder if that’s a writer issue, more than anything? Any way, thanks for your response!

I’m a sucker for mystery/suspense. To think-it all started with Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys, lol!

Answer: As long as it’s gay themed, I like nearly everything but my two faves are Historical and Supernatural (ghosts &I vampires).
Went to read the excerpt to Retribution at ARe and really enjoyed it. Congratulations on your release!

Thanks, Z, I appreciate it!

The answer is easy – I’m a huge fantasy reader – though I have to say, the world building needs to be good. Losing myself in a new world opens my imagination of what ifs and why nots. 🙂
AQG
Sounds like high fantasy for you…I have a soft spot for Druids and Fae… 🙂

Ahh, the naughtiness of it. Lee Brazil has a lovely regency mm series of shorts.

my favorite genre is definitly contemporary as the say it
i like a good complete story not to much angst and where i can enjoy a good bdsm story on times i prefer the contemporary about as they say normal life. It reads nice and makes it easy to see it in your head you can relate and pick things that you can imagine and feel for 🙂
Goodluck on your books Laura
I have to say you even got me reading m/f so that is rare 🙂
grtz Dani (elle)
LOL…I made you read m/f? Bad, bad author! Seriously, thank you so much for reading and your answer.

Your Answer*: ooh … can I say a tie between sci-fi and mystery?
I love science fiction because it’s fun to be in another world, and another time. But I like mystery because in a strange way, it can be very much the same thing, only grounded to the here and now. If that makes any sense at all.
Ooohhh, Sci Fi! That’s not likely one I’ll ever try to right. I can do fantasy, especially paranormal, and I love to throw in the mystery, no matter if I’m writing paranormal or cowboys. But I do love a good Sci Fi. Thanks for the answer!
Love willow springs ranch. Love Cowboys any way they come. To tell you the truth I don’t even see the gay straight factor. I get involved in the story of whatever it is, but WSR is hot gay cowboys who live hard and love even harder 🙂 whats not to like 🙂 hoping for more soon!!!! Please
You bet, Donna-the next one is Hanging Chad and it will be out in a couple of weeks. Thanks for reading and always cheering me on!

I love to read paranormal romance. Its my escape =)
Laura, you are amazing! WSR is a series I come back to time and time again. Every time I read it, I fall a little bit more in love with the men you have created. Its because of those men that I have been gobbling up anything you write. I have yet to find one I didn’t love and look forward to reading more!
Ahhh, Darlene, you are so kind. The next WSR book will be out within the next couple of weeks!
Skidding in barely…lol. I’ve been on the vampire shift for the last 5 days, and missed a lot.
I just love your stories!
I’ve really loved your stories in your three’s allowed series, and of course the Willow Springs series too….*S*
My favorite has been the m/m in all it’s varied genres. Caught the bug, and now I’m good and hooked. I love the mystery, paranormal, erotic romance, scifi…you name them I love them..*S*
Wishing you all the best, and always continued success!
Thank you for the giveaway!

Thanks, Darcy! I love all of them too, which is why I write in so many different genres. Thanks for reading and for stopping by!
