An evil Wizard – the King of Zorgon – threatens Nendor and the Seven Kingdoms with the dark magic he has unleashed. One by one, he attacks each kingdom making his intentions clear – to conquer the whole of Nendor.
Prince Farrell of Haven, being the last surviving Grand Master, is destined to face him in future. He is handsome and his powers know no boundaries. When Meglar’s forces attacks a neighboring kingdom, he is summoned by one of the avatars of their Gods – one that he couldn’t deny – not after being told that he would meet his soulmate while on his quest.
So, alongwith Nerti – the honorable Queen of unicorns, Farrell goes off to save lives and there begins the terrifying, yet very interesting journey of The Last Grand Master!
I have no words to describe how much this book has impressed me. Coming from the author who has co-penned “Unmasked”, I knew this would be a great read. But, to be honest, it wasn’t just great – it was outstanding! Andrew Q. Gordon has proved it with this book that he is the likes of “Rick Riordan” or “Stephen King” in the making. Yes, TLG is that good! It is excellent.
The new world that he has created through this book comes alive with the vivid decriptions he has painted with words. The characters are so believable, their actions are so understandable that a reader has to feel like he has known them forever. My emotions have had a rollercoaster ride throughout my reading this story! I was on the edge of my seat reading the whole fight scene in the first few chapters. It had me drowned deep into this imaginary world, so much that I had no consciousness of what was happening around me. While I sat in my room, curled up in my bed, a guest had arrived at our place, had a long chat with my parents and went away, and I still had no clue.
I have overjoyed watching the love between the two main characters and it has made me cry also! The end was a tear-jerker, no doubt! But I can’t imagine a different way this could have ended. It was sad, but understandable.
But well, I didnt need it to end. Thankfully, there’s a book 2 coming and I am holding the author’s word to that!
I wouldn’t say this had no flaws at all, but the writing really takes you on such an amazing ride that these flaws are forgotten. I don’t want to get into that because I feel it would be an insult to Gordon’s creativity and his talent.
This is a book, never to be missed!

Reblogged this on The Land Of Make Believe and commented:
Sid is an author – his first book is due in July from RFP and an aspiring book critic. If you get a chance check out his site and his work.
Wow Sid – thanks for that and for sharing it on Goodreads as well. I hope you don’t mind that I reblogged. I’m glad you liked it. I guess since you’re holding me to it, I’d better get a move on finishing the rewrite of Book 2. After that, I can’t have you mad at me. 🙂
