When the Devil Wants In and Giveaway!

Hey guys,

It’s been a while since I released a book, but a little over a week ago, a brand new one hit the shelves, and this one is so special because I coauthored it with J.H. Knight. I don’t know if you’ve had a chance to meet her (she’s a bit of a social media recluse and tends to hide out at conferences) but if you haven’t had the chance, put that on your to-do list immediately.

I met her a few years ago, and good god was I intimidated. I’d read The Last Thing He Needs and that book had fucking destroyed me. It was amazing. Instant favourite.

Well, we’re a few years into our friendship now and the awe I feel reading her writing has never faded. She’s incredible, and all throughout writing this book, I had to work harder than ever before to keep up with her. It took us a while to get it finished–life has a funny way of throwing curve balls when they’re least wanted–but we got it done and we’re both so, so proud of the story we produced.

Here’s the blurb:

WhenTheDevilWantsInFSJohn Turner has been living a lie most of his life. Growing up in the rural Georgia town of Magnolia Ridge, he’s only ever let one person truly know him: his best friend, Chloe. To the rest of the world, they’re the perfect couple, but just between them, she’s helping John hide in plain sight.

Matt Kinsley, a cop from San Francisco, moves to town looking for a slower pace and to reconnect with his Southern roots. Starting over in Magnolia Ridge means taking a step into the closet, but Matt finds that with John for company, he doesn’t mind so much.

As the two start to explore a possible relationship, a horrific murder rips the town apart but brings John and Matt together in ways neither could’ve imagined. Matt must decide where his loyalties lie while John resists the urge to run again. Together, they have to discover who the real devil is before another life is destroyed.

And here’s a teensy snippet for your reading pleasure:

Pulling back, Matt caught John’s eye, a brief moment of connection that felt out of place, almost tender, almost knowing. Something more than just a quick fuck on a dark night in a faraway town. “Probably,” Matt whispered in agreement, the word sounding like a promise. Like the whole universe was listening.

He wanted Matt to scorch away that glimpse he saw a moment earlier, that scary, ravaging thing that made him think for a moment that maybe—just maybe—he should throw everything away and start over, try for another piece of real in his life.

John pulled back for a breath and whispered, “You’re almost too much for me.” He meant it in every way possible. Almost was an understatement, really.
