It’s 2018, can you believe it?! Happy New Year one and all, hope your Holiday season was Merry and bright and everyone made it to the new year virtually unschathed. I’m working on my next book right now, but exact release dates are a bit sketchy still so I thought I’d share another LGBT book I’m so very excited to see coming to the big screen this year. I haven’t read it yet, but my plan is to listen to the Audiobook before March when the movie releases.
Everyone deserves a great love story. But for Simon it’s complicated: no-one knows he’s gay and he doesn’t know who the anonymous classmate is that he’s fallen for online. Resolving both issues proves hilarious, scary and life-changing.
Set to release on March 16th 2018 in theaters near you.
I’m so excited for this movie! If you are a book to movie fan you may recognize Simon, he was in another great book adaptation, Everything, Everything. I quite enjoyed the film which also had the actress that played Rue in the Hunger Games movie and for fans of the widely popular 13 Reasons Why that Netflix knocked out of the park, Simon’s BFF in the movie is played by the lovely young women that brought Hannah to life.
So, Apparently young Simon is afraid to come out, because he doesn’t want people to dislike him. In a nut shell, it looks like there’s some drama, a bit of comedy, teenage angst, and overall it looks like it’s going to be a super cute movie.
Did I mention Josh Duhamel plays Simon’s dad in the movie? Yow- and- za!
Yeah, so the title of the book is a bit different than the film. Simon VS The Homo Sapiens Agenda…
If you decide to read or listen to the book before the movie, email me (email@example.com) and we can chat. If there’s another book to movie adaptation you’ve been looking forward to in 2018, share the title and links below. I’m always looking for more great stories to read and listen to.
Now, it’s time for my shameless plug, see you guys next month!!
