    I like series with continuity – as in same characters but with their personal development – as much as ones with standalone stories (and different characters) in each entry. They would depend on the story as a whole. I’m not a picky reader in that aspect.

    I love series and meeting characters from the other books. I like to know who they are doing after they found there happily ever after. They become more real to me.
    Some great series I have read:
    Sloane Kennedy – Protectors
    Sloan Johnson – Homeruns
    Avon Gale – Scoring Chances
    Lucy Lennox – Made Marian
    Alexa Land – First and Forever
    KC Wells – Cuffs and Collars, Personal
    Felice Stevens – The Memories, The Breakfast Club

    I prefer standalones, but I enjoy series where the next story is about a side character from a previous story…

    If I follow a series it is important for me to see a ‘red thread’ somewhere. There must be some kind of progress. Either in the relationship of the characters or somewhere else in the story.
    PsyCop by Jordan Castillo Price is such a series, where you read a book and you can’t wait for the next one, because you want to know what will happen next.
    While I wasn’t that happy with the last couple of books from the THIRDS series by Charlie Cochet, THIRDS in general is also best read in order for the puzzle of the background story to fall into place.
    I also like stand-alone books, but there are tropes that are better narrated within the framework of a series.

    I like both standalone & series. I like series that follow both the same couples & different couples. I’m not picky. I like it when a favorite couple makes a cameo appearance in another couple’s story.
    Some of my favorite series are:
    Heidi Cullinan’s Love Lessons and Special Delivery
    Cut & Run
    Charlie Cochet’s THIRDS
    Jordan Castillo Price’s PsyCop
    Avon Gale’s Scoring Chances
    Bluewater Bay

    I do love a good series, but I usually ( but not always) wait until either the whole series is done or a new book is imminent before reading it.
    There are a few exceptions and one of them is on your list! 😊

    I like a series if all the books are already out so I don’t have to wait. I will make an exception if I read a review and just can’t wait to read it. My favorite series is:
    Tal Bauer’s The Executive Office Series

    I like both, whether they stick to the main characters or they add new ones. One of my favourite ones is Adrien English by Josh Lanyon. I’ ve just discovered The Beacon Hill sorcerer series by SJ Himes, and loved it to bits

    Either way is good for me. As long as there is a great growth in the characters and storyline, I am happy…

    Love series! I love it when you can visit the same couple again and see their journey continue, often there is bit more depth in the characters because there are more books (pages) written. My favorite serie is The Red Dirt Heart serie by Nr Walker.

    I like standalones but also Series (especially with the same person or couple), b/c the latter can give more growth and depth to characters and relationships, and I get to the MCs in more different, exciting situations. I have some of the same fav series, but if you’re looking for something different:
    – Fantasy – Valdemar: Last-Herald Mage; Pledged to Magic;
    – Paranormal – Deep Magic;
    – SciFi – Narc, In the Company of Shadows;
    – Mystery – Scotty Bradley, Michel Doucette & Sassy Jones Mysteries, Mahu, Boystown;
    – Adventure – Executive Office;
    – Historical – Whyborne and Griffin;
    – Nautical\Pirates – Royal Navy, Baal’s Heart;
    – Western – Cut Hand; Falls Church Ranch

    I do enjoy series but I worry about the time frame it takes for an installment. I’ve read a few series that had the last installment written two years after the previous book. i enjoy both seeing old characters/characters in previous book in the next book and seeing new focus on secondary characters. I do prefer a good series not be standalone but I’ll not turn series away that are a series of standalone. Must read series:
    A Matter of Time by Mary Calmes
    Change of Heart by Mary Calmes
    Psycop by Jordan Castillo Price
    Cut & Run by Abigail Roux (and Madeleine Urban)
    Shadow of the Templar by M. Chandler
    Chronicles of Ylandre by Eresse
    Valdemar: The Last Herald-Mage by Mercedes Lackey (have tissues on hand)
    THIRDS by Charlie Cochet

    Even though my favorite is a series that stays with one relationship, the ones that focus on different ones with people who are friends or family of the first are so much fun. It’s familiar but there’s all this new stuff happening. Alexis Hall’s Prosperity-verse stories, Megan Derr’s High King series, Eli Easton’s Sex in Seattle, and of course, Santino Hassell’s Five Boroughs books are some favorites that do a wonderful job of creating a series that not only give you great standalone stories but also have this weaving of characters together to create a wonderful tapestry.

    I love series, but I am impatient when the rest of the books haven’t been written yet. I enjoy all of Kaje Harper’s titles and have been anxiously awaiting sequels! There are quite a few series that I enjoy, including Thea Harrison’s Elder Races, JR Ward’s BDB, JD Robb’s In Death, etc.
