This concept (historicals and contemporaries in the same setting) is great! I look forward to reading more Porthkennack stories. zootlet2 at gmail dot com.

Although my books are contemporaries, I love that Porthkennack has such a rich, intriguing (fictional) history. 🙂

Congrats. This new series is exciting. I can understand how you would enjoy the collaboration, and I love Beecroft and the idea of a shared universe. I’ve also liked your short stories, but tbh haven’t read a longer one yet, and this one sounds great. I love when a book takes me places where I haven’t been, as well as deals with topics I can learn more about, like narcolepsy. –

Congrats on the new book and good luck to all that wrote for this series. The whole premise for this book sounds great and different. I will be adding it to my TBR list.

I hadn’t thought of all the cross checking you all must have had to do to ensure characters didnt do something in one story that wasnt in another!

Lol – it was actually good fun cross-checking with other authors – much less annoying than continuity-checking my own series books! 😉

Congrats on another release of great tale, JL! Of the two Porthkennack I read so far, there’s a red thread on the story. Thank you for this post that showed how all the participating authors worked together and around to create the stories.

Thank you – and thanks for the vocab lesson: I’d never come across the expression “a red thread” before. Fascinating looking into it! 😀

The cover is gorgeous and I can’t wait to read a new series! I love the transition between books and characters. Since the setting sounds like a place I’d love to live, that’s an added benefit! Good luck with the release. I’m sure it will be fantastic!
