A big thank you to Love Bytes for hosting me today as I celebrate the release of Runaway.
Runaway is my latest release. It’s part of the Dreamspinner Press World of Love collection. The World of Love stories are “contemporary romances spotlighting the unique features, qualities and attributes of a specific country as well as the universality of love wherever it’s found.”
The story of Nate and Damien takes place in the Australian state of New South Wales, starting in a small country town on the north coast, followed by time spent in Sydney. To celebrate the release of the book, I thought I’d share some of my beautiful city of Sydney with you all.
Taronga Zoo
Everyone loves a visit to the zoo! How can you go past all those gorgeous animals? So much to see and do! Taronga Zoo is the zoo in the centre of Sydney, just a short ferry ride from the city. And if I must say so myself, it’s very special. The zoo is nestled on the edge of the harbour with the most magnificent views both during the day and at night.
Here’s a photo of the giraffes that shows just how close to the CBD the zoo is. Don’t those giraffe’s have a great view?
As well as being a location for viewing all kinds of animals, the zoo also has activities including treetop rope walks, and camping. My husband and I enjoyed an overnight experience at the zoo which included special night time feeding activities and behind the scenes tours. Over the years, we’ve also seen many concerts at the zoo as part of their Twilight at Taronga series. It’s wonderful to sit on the launch with a glass of wine and a picnic, watching the sun go down over the water and the city lights coming on, all while being entertained with some great music.
I hope you liked seeing a little piece of Sydney and enjoy experiencing a little more when reading Runaway.
