Did you have any idea 4 years ago that you’d have reviewed so many books, had so many guest posters & hosted so many blog tours? I think you all deserve a huge ‘thank you” for all the time & energy you’ve invested into this site. Thanks!

This for all reviewers. I know writing a large quantity of reviews can sometimes be overwhelming especially when a deadline is added on a book you decided to review. How do you handle that feeling (let’s call it reviewers block) when it hits you?

How do you keep the books you have reviewed organized so you can find them again when the sequel comes out?

Do you need to switch up the types or sub-genres of books you review in order to not get burned out?

    Happy blogiversary!

How did you all become reviewers for a blog (this one or any other blogs you were part of)?

Lemme use this opportunity to thank you for all the time & efforts you’ve spent on reviews, promotions, blog tours of our beloved authors’ books. You guys did so much for this writing industry. <3

So, firing off my first question, well… I don't know if you've encountered them, but how do you handle impolite authors? Those who didn't like the review you've done for their book, those who throw demands like they're above everyone, if you ever encounter those kind of people, that is.

Everyone has different taste in books, have you guys experienced when two or more reviewers reading same books and had opposite opinions of it (no need to mention the title, of course)? I’m curious on the dynamic within on blog with a few reviewers with mix taste of genre. 🙂

How do you decide which books to review? Do you get in touch with authors or do authors get in touch with you?

Happy blogiversary. You are all reading a lot of books and therefore writing a lot of reviews. There will be books that blow you away and that you will be thinking of days after reading. When you are reading the next book how do you keep your mind fresh and open in order to give an honest review? To not compare this book to the previous one.

For all: So, you were anticipating a certain book and after reading it, you are disappointed. Now you have to review it. How do you deal with this situation?

Congratulations on 4 years of Love Bytes 🙂
Question for all reviewers: Was there ever a book you thought wasn’t really for you because of the genre/topic/blurb etc. but you read it anyway and it turned out to be one of the best books you ever read ?

Do you have a set criteria for the star system, or is it totally dependent on the individual reviewers tastes?
Congratulations on 4 very successful years.

What are your favorite subgenres? Do you prefer to only review those books or branch out?

These questions are all great, and I hope they all get answered eventually, even if not during this particular anniversary event.

My question is this: as busy as you are reading (possibly?) assigned books for posting a review here on a certain date, if you find that you really like a particular author’s work, do you research them on a personal level? Meaning, do you subscribe to their newsletters, read their blog posts, follow them on Twitter or other social media in your free time? Do you HAVE any free time for reading books outside of the blog, perhaps in other genres not covered on Love Bytes? Maybe that’s two questions, and I should separate that last one from the other…

Looking forward to reading any and all answers to these questions! I’d ask the same ones as above too.
