Your insight on Mardi Gras is almost spot on. I have attended twice and I did things and hung out with people I never would have if it wasn’t for the drunken party environment. But I must say it was so much fun. I think a book with the plot surrounding Mardi Gras would be great, especially if it contained some of the things you talked about.

The first time I went to New Orleans it took place during Mardi Gras and we had our 2 youngest children with us. I definitely don’t recommend it! Our daughter was terrified!

Mardi Gras has always sounded intriguing….I’d love to go one day but pensions and wrong continent mean it’s a nevernever plan

Exploring New Orleans and the Garden District has long been a dream of mine. My Mom also dreamed of a vacation there, and I regret that we didn’t make it happen before she passed away (at the young age of 54). Someday, though. Thanks for the tour!

Thank you for sharing the list. I’ve never partook in the celebrations but it does sound like a good time.

Congrats and thanks for the post. The book sounds great, and I love gay mysteries and paranormal romances. Like Nate, I’m a transplanted Texan and root for the outcast/underdog as well. The only problem, more often than not, the underdog loses, but when he wins, yay! –

Thank you for the post, Santino. Though I must recognise I’m not that much into all the Mardi Grass shenanigans… Maybe it is because I do not like people wearing masks. Anyway, congratulations on the relase. I’m really looking forward to reading Insight

Completely fell in love with New Orleans but have been there for Mardi Gras yet. I hope to get back there for it one day.
