Birthday Celebration

1818464

There is a lot to celebrate this month. A little over two weeks ago, we welcomed a brand new member to our family–a beautiful, healthy baby girl. After a night in the hospital, we headed home, our daughter in tow, and we’ve been adjusting to our new family dynamic since.

16807771_714739585351232_6377757450519346524_nSo far (other than a little sleep deprivation) things are going swimmingly. She is a cuddle bug who loves to be held and sleeps like a dream (for a newborn, anyway), and our son is just smitten with her. He thinks of her as his baby and he has taken on the role of helper and protector. It’s so sweet and makes me feel like maybe I’m doing okay at this whole Mom thing.

We are over the moon happy with our now-complete family. She arrived almost one month exactly before my own birthday and I can’t think of a better gift. I totally sound like that gushy mom who won’t shut up about her kids, and I’m completely fine with that. Next month, I’ll go back to talking about books, but for now, I’m embracing my role as proud parent.

To celebrate our new arrival and my birthday, I’ll be giving away some prizes. With all the sleepless nights, I have a lot more time to read. Comment below with your best recs for feel-good romance for a chance to win a book of your choice from my backlist.

Congratulations on the anniversary! Such a beautiful girl! <3
One of my favourite comfort reads is Muscling Through by JL Merrow. Another one is Hottie Scotty and Mr. Porter by R. Cooper. Another one I go back to often is Family of Lies: Sebastian by Sam Argent…. And some of Angel Martinez' like Boots are comfort reads for me as well.

    Welcome to your new girl!

I’m finding Amy Lane’s Granby Knitting series is a great comfort series. Also Eli Easton’s Sex in Seattle series.

I’d pick Clare London’s SAY A LITTLE PRAYER, Tara Lain’s SINDERS AND ASH and HEARTS AND FLOUR, and (though there’s just a touch of romance) Ethan Stone’s BARTENDER, P.I.
