STORY REVIEW:

I struggled with this story. On the one hand, I thought it was short and sweet and very easy to listen to. The characters were likable and the setup of friends to lovers was a good one. The sex scenes were hot and I could feel the attraction and lust between these two women.

On the other hand, the story was too short for what the author was trying to accomplish romance and plot-wise. The little bit of plot was handled without care, as it was a very serious topic that was just swept aside after one conversation. The lust turned to love out of the blue and even though I can almost forgive it because these women have known each other for some time, I did not feel it nor was I convinced it wasn’t just thrown in because someone said it should be.

In the end, I was left feeling more positive than negative about this story, but not enough to recommend this to anyone.

NARRATION REVIEW:

This was my first experience with Xanthia Bloom. I thought she did well with what she had to work with. Her characters were distinct and most of the time she echoed the emotions correctly. However, sometimes I had a hard time with her reading of the male voices because there was nothing to distinguish her male american voices from her female american voices. It would not have mattered if they had been written more clearly, but sometimes I forgot who was speaking and it was confusing.
