A warm welcome to author Lucie Archer joining us today to talk about her new release “My Paradise Is You , part of Dreamspinner Press World of Love series.
Lucie shares a top 5 from Ian and brought with her a giveaway to participate in!
Welcome Lucie 🙂
Five must-have’s Ian would want if he were stranded on a deserted island for a second time:
1. Sunscreen/protection
Ian burns like an ant under a magnifying glass, so sunscreen is a must with his pale English complexion. Though he wouldn’t mind a wide brimmed hat or an umbrella too, just to be safe. He takes skin cancer very seriously.
2. Gosling’s Black Seal Rum
This infamous Bermuda staple is a must. If he has to go through the horrors of being stranded again, he wants something that’ll ease his pain and suffering, and if you knew how accident-prone he tends to be, you’d totally understand. But he also likes the taste and might’ve taken a whole case back to England with him when he left Bermuda.
3. Spices for food
Ian’s not a food snob, but if you had to live on snails, slugs, and the odd fish for over a week, you might be begging for spices to help make things more palatable too. Having grown up with personal chefs on standby, he’s never done that much cooking, but he knows his way around a kitchen. Maybe next time—with the right ingredients—he could impress Marc with his survival cooking skills.
4. His music library
The calming sound of waves lapping at the shore is something Ian loves, but the loud cahow birds leave something to be desired. He’d love some music to drown them out from time to time. And who doesn’t love to sit down and let their troubles dissolve into the sweet melody of their favorite songs? Though he’ll probably need to wrestle Marc for use of his solar charger.
5. Soaps/toiletries
Living without deodorant and his toothbrush had him feeling a little grimy after a few days. The spring they found on their island helped, but he’d liked something a little more substantial in the personal hygiene department. Marc never complained about him smelling, and even kissed him, but Ian likes to smell nice, okay!
Blurb:
When two very different men are stranded on a deserted island, will opposites attract, or will they end up killing each other—if the elements don’t get them first?
Marc Reed is an expert scuba diver and leads underwater tours of the infamous shipwrecks scattered around Bermuda. When a robbery forces him and his boss’s son—a man he despises on principle—to take shelter on an uncharted island, he might have to reassess his opinion of the spoiled snob.
Ian Blythe-Darcy II lives a life most would envy. He’s a trust-fund kid being groomed to take over his father’s empire of hotels and resorts. But it’s not a life that matches what’s in his heart. He’s in the closet and engaged to a socialite he doesn’t love, but he’s about to get a crash course in being true to himself—and maybe learn money can’t buy happiness after all.

Meet Lucie:
Lucie Archer is a student of the universe who is obsessed with the stars, in love with beaches, and crazy about dudes falling in love. She tells stories of romance, love, and life, with a little bit of passion thrown in for good measure. Because what’s life without a little pop and sizzle?
When she’s not writing, she can be found tending to her garden, playing with her four-legged children, or procrastinating. Although, she spends a lot of time fending off random plot bunnies that threaten to derail her WIP’s.

I really couldn’t live without my cats and BravoTV. I love all their shows.
Cats is a great answer, Audrey! I don’t think I could live without mine either. I’m not
I don’t think I could live without my cats either, Audrey. They are my babies! I’m not quite as attached to TV, but there are a few shows I miss.
I would need my family and books
Family and books, both two very important things I wouldn’t want to live without either!
I couldn’t live without my family and my books.
Another vote for family and books. I’m definitely sensing a pattern among readers. 😀 Thanks, Tanja!
My kindle and toilet paper
Toilet paper! That’s an excellent one, Jess. Where would we be without that wonderful modern convenience?
I’d miss my shower and access to the wifi so I could download more books since beaches and books go hand in hand.
Beaches and books are pretty synonymous. And two of my favorite things! A shower is another good one. I’d miss that too.

My kids and food for them since they are always eating..
Aww, that’s sweet. Yes, you must keep the kids fed. 🙂
Spices & music library didn’t cross my mind at all. That’s smart! And this is the first time I’ve heard of that Gosling thing. *knitted eyebrows* I thought of Ryan for a moment. lol!
I thought about Ryan too! Wouldn’t mind having him on an island with me. 😉
Congrats and thanks for the post. I’m a practical type, so my first thought was food and water. Dull. So to be creative, I would say my new husband 🙂 and your new book, My Paradise is You 🙂 🙂
Aww, thank you! The new hubby is probably a must, and maybe my book could give you a few pointers, or at the very least chase away the boredom. 🙂
food and my kindle (with wifi access to download all the new books that will come out while I’m there!)
The ability to download new books would be great, but if it were me, I might actually have some time to put a dent in my to-read list. 😉
My kindle & iPod so I could read & listen to my audio books
Internet and books. I would go crazy without them.
My tablet definitely…and the knife would be really useful.
My family (including my fur babies) and books (a very large library of them)
