REVIEW:

This was both cute and entertaining and I just adored it! I loved Kenneth immediately; his thoughts and opinions about his kids at the beginning of the book were highly amusing and I found myself smirking more often than not. Its also pretty apparent that his family means everything to him and that he works as hard as he does to ensure they have everything they need to keep them healthy and happy. He and Miles have been friends since they were children yet despite the draw they felt towards each other, hadn’t taken that final step out of the friend zone. (At least until Jake shows up.) Miles is really detail oriented and is the one that keeps Kenneth organized while helping to manage his household. I didn’t feel as though I got to know Miles as much as I would’ve liked but I have hopes I’ll see him more in the future.

Jack was just a great compliment to both men and I really enjoyed how he just slipped right into the entire family like he belonged there and they’d been waiting for him all along. His handling of the kids was great but his handling of Kenneth was the absolute best! Lol  I knew that something would have to be done about Kenneth’s absence in the middle of the book but I was in no way prepared for what Jake put in motion and it made me laugh. Jake really was just a great, versatile character. The story itself can really be broken up into three parts: when Jake first shows up and the three men get together, the middle (which I mentioned) where Kenneth is separated from his mates and family, and the last part after Kenneth is back home which is just overwhelmingly full fluff and family feels that made me happy to see. The story flowed well and it showed a lot of promise for further books in the future; Kenneth’s ‘pack’ is made up of a wide variety of shifters (which was great!) and quite a few characters were introduced for potential stories and pairings.

This book was a blast from start to finish and there wasn’t anything about the book that I didn’t like; the children were really well done and all had unique personalities and I just loved the variety of people that Kenneth had drawn together. I’m super excited to see where the author takes this universe and while there isn’t a series listed yet, I totally plan to keep an eye on it for when that changes. If you enjoy shifter stories that feature more than wolves and/or books with a good focus on children and family, I would totally check this one out.
