REVIEW:
I’m fairly certain that I’ll never be able to get enough of this series and was thrilled to find there was a story set around Christmas. (I’m still loving the after holiday feels and have no regrets. :D) This short story features characters I haven’t seen in any of the other books I’ve read so far but I had no problems connecting with them or in diving head first into their story. The fact that the story takes place around Christmas was more a side note as the author mainly focused on the interactions between Stone and Derrick so if you want to read this one, you don’t have to worry about an overabundance of in your face holiday spirit if it’s the middle of the year. :p
I loved these two men together; they had great chemistry and just fit like two halves of the same whole. While their relationship started out all about the sex, it was fairly easy to see how much they each just enjoyed the other’s company; they just sort of meshed really well together and that made for a really nice story. Another great thing was how, even with the shorter length, I never felt that the story was incomplete in any way. Would I like to read more about these men and their burgeoning relationship? Absolutely! But I’m really happy with where and how things left off.
This was a great little addition to an already fantastic series and you don’t have to be familiar with any of the other books in order to read and enjoy this one. If you like cowboys and are looking for a shorter story, I’d recommend this one. 🙂
