A warm welcome to author TM Smith joining us here today at Love bytes to show us a sneak peak on new release “Hide and Seek” ,book 6 in the All Cocks Stories.
Welome TM 🙂
Dusty Anderson left his hometown in Justin, Texas for the Big Apple not long after graduating high school with dreams of becoming an actor. A year later, no closer to realizing his dream but pretty damn close to being broke, he comes across a flyer in a local gay bar that provides a solution to his dilemma. Six years later, Dusty has all but forgotten his dream to be an actor. The family he gained when he went to work at All Cocks and the job itself are enough for him, for now at least.
David Thompson is barely twenty-one, high on life and starting his second year at NYU as an Art student. Now that he is old enough to enjoy the city’s night life, David finds his first crush at a local hot spot in the village, The Monster Bar. Young love is laid to rest though, when David comes out to his mother and older brother with disastrous results.
A tragic incident at the hands of David’s brother changes the course of all of their lives and brings the two together, but is it coincidence or fate? Regardless of unlikely circumstance, Dusty is inexplicably drawn to David, who suddenly finds himself alone in the world. Protective of David from the start, Dusty realizes his extended family at All Cocks and his best friend Kory will not understand this new relationship. Fearing the worst, Dusty plays a dangerous game of hide and seek, risking everything to keep David safe and sheltered.
But hiding can only last for so long, and David and Dusty aren’t the only ones dealing with uncertainties. The Dimir men find that the one thing they’ve longed for might be within reach and Dusty’s father, Dean, arrives in town unexpectedly with secrets of his own. Truths come out and trust is put to the test. Can the All Cocks family find the happiness they deserve?
This is the 6th book in the All Cocks stories series, the series would read best if read in order, but each book can be read as a standalone story.
They woke early on Sunday morning and went for a run before popping into a café a couple of blocks from the apartment for coffee and danish. Exchanging blow jobs in the shower when they got home helped calm David’s nerves. Nowhere near as edgy as he used to be, David still got nervous if they were going to be somewhere with a lot of people, and Dusty figured out long ago that the easiest way to calm his boyfriend was to make him come. It was like a sedative, but without all the wonky side effects that came with pills.
Dusty was tying his shoes when his phone rang. A glance at the caller ID said it was his dad. He almost let it go to voicemail. His dad could rattle on for hours once he got started. “Hey, Dad.”
“Dusty, I’m glad I got you; I expected your voicemail,” he said with a chuckle. “Listen, I have some vacation time coming and I wanted to fly out there to see you.”
“You and Mom?”
“No son, only me.” There was an edge to his father’s voice that worried Dusty.
“What’s going on, Dad? Is everything okay with you and Mom?”
“Yeah, yeah, nothing to worry about.” He pressed on. “So, how about next week?”
“That soon? Okay. David and I are heading out to the big house for a BBQ; I’ll double check that I’m not on the schedule next week, and if so, try to get someone to replace me.” Dusty had always been up front and honest with his parents about everything. He came out when he was thirteen, got caught getting a blow job from a teenager in their neighborhood in the back yard at fourteen, moved to New York to pursue an acting career at eighteen and started shooting porn when he was nineteen. His parents were very laid back and always stayed out of his way, letting Dusty make his own decisions, but making sure he owned any mistakes he made as well.
“Good, I’m happy you agree since I already bought my plane ticket.” His Dad’s melodic laugh made Dusty smile.
“We’re actually running late now Dad; can you email me all the info on your flight? I’ll make sure I can pick you up at the airport. Oh, and you don’t need to get a hotel, William moved out and we’re still in this apartment for another month, so you can sleep in his old room.”
David popped into the bedroom, pointing at his watch to indicate the time. “Be right there,” Dusty mouthed, saying goodbye to his dad and finally disconnecting the call.
“Everything okay?” David asked.
“Yeah, my dad is coming to visit.”
David reached for him, running his hand down Dusty’s arm and twining their fingers together. “You don’t sound happy about that, babe.”
“He sounded…off. And he’s coming alone, which is odd.” He lifted their joined hands to his mouth, kissing David’s knuckles. “I’m probably reading too much into it—we need to get going though, we’re already running late.”
