Truth or dare. Ever since superspy Cillian moved into Prophet’s building, their game of Steal the Couch has been funny to Prophet but a thorn in Tom’s side. Then Prophet gets bored one night during an ice storm and insists on playing another simple game with Tom: Truth or Dare. In exchange for one of Prophet’s truths, Tom steals the couch one last time. But Prophet’s truths are never easy – Tom should know that by now – and this one raises questions neither of them quite knows how to answer. In response, Tom finds himself laying claim to Prophet in the most basic way he knows how. And he finds that he doesn’t mind it in the least when Prophet returns the favor.
REVIEW:
This short but sexy and really sweet for Prophet and Tom, story was just a bit of what I needed after listening to the last book. This one is truly about these two guys lowing barriers that they seem to try to tear down and finally in this story…it’s gone.
Tom and Prophet are spending some quality time together and they both are having some issues dealing with jealously and trust. I have to say tht the way in which these two men deal with things…well…can we just say HOLY HOTNESS BATMAN!!
The sexy times were off the charts today and yet, it wasn’t just a one handed read, it was truly about these two men allowing themselves to be fully with the other. To know that the other has their trust and that they’ll be by each other’s side. It was it turns sweet and tender and loving and yet…so typically dirty enough to be real for our guys.
I have to say that this quick story, seriously…it’s a few minutes over an hour went by so damn fast. I was right back in the mindset of these characters and this…it felt so damn short, but sweetly satisfying.
Narration:
Once again, Adam North brings it!! These two characters are so very fleshed out and they way Adam continues to bring about the nuances of each character…it’s brilliant.
Again…Adam has a new fan in me as I just feel as if listening to him has truly brought these characters to life. I love Adam’s Cajun accent for Tom. The rough, growly, gravely sound of it…truly makes me believe that Tom is speaking and thinking.
I love that Prophet’s voice really doesn’t have an accent. It’s that could be from anywhere kind of voice and I suppose that’s on purpose, given the jobs that he’s had. But I can tell the snarky comments from the tone that Adam uses. I swear, it’s truly as if Prophet is talking.
