BLURB:
Hollywood royalty Jeremy Jameson has lived a sheltered life with music as his sole focus and only friend. Before embarking on another international concert tour, he wanders into a bar in what he considers the middle-of-nowhere and meets a man who wins him over with his friendly smile and easy-going nature. Accountant, bartender, and adventure-seeker Reg Moore has fun talking and drinking with “The” Jeremy Jameson and can’t say no when the supposedly straight rock star makes him a once-in-a-lifetime offer: keep him company on his tour by playing the part of his boyfriend.
Listening to music, traveling the world, and jumping off cliffs is fun. Falling in love is even better. But to stay with Jeremy after the stage lights dim, Reg will need to help him realize there’s nothing to pretend about their relationship.
REVIEW:
I love Cardeno’s books. There is always a wonderful love story in her books and this one is no exception. Now, I love me some audio books as it allows me to do other things as well as listen to a story.
Jeremy Jameson is Hollywood royalty and he’s always known what he wanted to do. He’s always wanted to make music. His Grandfather was a filmmaker, his father was singer as well. His mother is an award winning actress, so Hollywood Jeremy is just taking a bit of time for himself before his next world tour and he ends up in the small town in AZ and meets Reg Moore. Jeremy and Reg totally hit it off and Jeremy who just wants to have someone to hang with and Reg fits with someone who will allow Jeremy to just be. Jeremy is a rock star and make no mistake, he has his tendencies to Diva Out, but really…I liked Jeremy. He’s this guy who has tried to guard himself when it comes to people and relationships and that makes him so lonely.
Reg Moore is just the coolest, most laid back guy that I have ever read in a book. Truly. If he were real…I’d have to find him so that we could be friends. Reg is young…26 years old and he is following his own path in life. He doesn’t hide who he is and he’s got his amazing family with whom he’s close to. Reg is really the balm to Jeremy’s soul. Reg is such a good guy. He helps to bring Jeremy out of this bubble that surrounds him and he does it by not only teasing but also by being the really good guy that he is.
The sexy times were indeed, SEXY and HOLY HANNAH…did it sound just pant-worthy. Wow…reading something sexy is great…hearing it in your ear…PRICELESS!!
I was hooked from the very first moment I started this book until the very last word. I enjoyed this book as there wasn’t tons of angst or drama. It was simply a sweet, lovely romance about two men falling in love and that made it so much more sweeter.
Narration:
Now, Charlie David…this man did such an Amazing job narrating this book. I loved how he did the different voices for every character. I really loved how you could totally hear the nuances of each character not only by word but voice inflection. Charlie’s voice for Reg…was so very relaxed and calm. Very mellow and it’s all good. Charlie’s voice for Jeremy…was a bit frantic and uncertain. I loved that you could hear all of that in Charlie’s adaption of Jeremy’s voice. I loved the way that each character, both minor and major had such distinctive voices and how you could totally tell who was speaking.
I felt that Charlie did a really good job differentiating the female voices from the male voices. That to me is always tricky for any narrator whether they are male or female…doing the other sex’s voices. However, I think that Charlie did a pretty good job of it.

I agree! This is one of my favorite books and this audio version was excellent. As you say, the voice acting snd narration were exceptional. Something else that sets this recording apart is the original music accompanying the reading and bracketing each track. It added to the overall effect of the story and the audio experience.
Oh my, I love this book so hard! Such a great listen or read!
