REVIEW:
“Love at First Sight” is about Jonathon Doyle, a sweet, naïve, accident prone teenager, who only wants to find the right man and fall in love as he’s incredibly lonely, and David Miller a successful, confident realtor who is in his mid-twenties. David isn’t looking for love, he is content with his life just as it is. Jonathon loses his virginity at a high school party to his best friend Kathy, he doesn’t mean to but Kathy becomes enraged when her ex-boyfriend leaves the party with another girl. She decides to get even by having sex with Jonathon not caring that he is gay. The next day Kathy and Jonathon leave for a three day trip to Broadway, New York as part of the graduating theatre class. On their last day Jonathon hurts himself and goes to the hospital, it’s while there that he sees a blue eyed man and falls in love.
Jonathon moves to New York so he can look for his blue eyed man, he doesn’t realise just how big or impossible that job is going to be. Three months into his search he finds out he’s going to be a father and without hesitation tells Kathy he will take the baby so she can move on with her boyfriend as he doesn’t want another man’s child.
Three years later Jonathon and his son Samuel head home to his parents because he is so tired of being lonely. The night of his twenty-second birthday he goes to a gay bar for a drink and sees his blue eyed man! David finds himself drawn to Jonathon in a way he’s never been to anyone, he wants to get to know him, have a relationship with him. They jump into sex immediately, they are voracious, omg! They have sex everywhere, every chance they get. Things get very serious, very fast and within a matter of months they are talking about living together and that’s when Jonathon realises he has to come clean about his past.
All in all I found this story to be heart breaking, loving, inspiring and uplifting which to me makes and incredibly good book definitely worth reading! I would recommend this book to all m/m romance story readers.
