Only 6 weeks until I am going to Chicago.

That sounds quite simple you would think, but for me it isn’t so simple! LOL!

For one thing, I live in The Netherlands so it means crossing the ocean, and although I am used to traveling alone to some places in Europe by now, I always said I wouldn’t cross the ocean on my own. I had an urge to go to Gay Rom Lit when the event was announced, but between the distance, the ocean to cross, leaving my husband and daughter alone for longer than a weekend, and of course the financial aspect, it was not something I thought I could do..

But then the blog of Sid Love/Love Bytes was invited to participate in GRL’s new Featured Blogger Program, and well……… as they say, the rest is history! No, I am kidding, it didn’t go that easy. I had to seriously think about what I wanted to do.

One of my reviewers, Vicki, was already planning to attend so she could be there representing our blog, but I have to say I really wanted to be there, and who knows when I would get another opportunity.

So I started to look around on a serious note for plane tickets, vacation time from work and most of all, talked to my husband.

Was it ok to do this? Did I really want to do this? Could I do this?

As you can see from the title of this post, the answer was YES!!!

So I paid for my GRL registration, booked my plane ticket and started to look around for a roommate ….
